Background
digiShip is an AI-powered issue management and workflow automation platform designed to improve responsiveness and collaboration across the global shipping supply chain.
I set out to address several critical challenges faced by 3PLs (third-party logistics providers) and freight forwarders:
Complex communication across international networks, often reliant on outdated tools
Slow issue resolution driven by manual, subjective decision-making
Limited proactive risk management, leading to disputes and financial losses
Fragmented data sources that complicate time-sensitive decisions
Goals
Streamline workflows through automation and transparent processes
Improve visibility across teams and systems
Support faster, more informed decision-making
Approach
To design a platform that reflected the complexity of the global shipping supply chain, I collaborated closely with stakeholders to understand how logistics teams manage issues across fragmented systems. These conversations surfaced key inefficiencies and revealed opportunities for intelligent automation.
I led the design strategy and iterative process, sharing early wireframes and prototypes during weekly reviews. This close partnership helped shape the platform’s core functionality: a configurable Playbook system that lets teams automate responses based on specific triggers and conditions, streamlining collaboration and issue resolution.
Conclusion
I helped shape digiShip into a platform tailored to the complex realities of global shipping. The Playbook automation system empowers logistics teams with greater clarity, control, and confidence in managing issues.
While the project is still ongoing, stakeholder feedback has been consistently positive, and the team's work continues to influence digiShip’s development roadmap.
